Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Rahim. In the name of God, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate. Al-salam 'alaykum. My love you, my dearest brothers and sisters.
1. The Introduction - of Spiritual Chat 08
MuhaiyaddeenLB:
Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Rahim. In the Name of God, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate. Al-salam 'alaykum, Rumi.
My love you (anbu) - Shaikh Muhaiyaddeen (Louie Beutler).
Rumismith:
Wa alaikum salam ya Shaikh Muhaiyaddeen. I was just trying to send you an IM as your was coming in.
MuhaiyaddeenLB:
Al-hamdu lillah. We are one life, within the one truth, within the one love. My sweetest sister Rumi. My love you very, very much.
2. Expanding "Who We Are", "Where We Are", & "What's Happening" - by joining with Bawa within us
Everything that we have experienced and accumulated since coming into the world, including everything we have learned sitting at the feet of His Holiness, can only be expanded and understood by handing them to Bawa, letting Him open and explain them to us with ever increasing subtlety through His Grace
MuhaiyaddeenLB:
We have been working on our previous Chats, as Bawa expands and expands the wisdom points shared in them.
For example, in our Chat 6, which you can now access as Spiritual Chat 6, we have just added the following:
Number 7. The One Problem That We Face In Our Life
The inside of us verses the outside of us. This is the one problem that we all face in our life. To be victorious in our life, the qualities of our inner selves must become victorious over the qualities of our outer selves.
3. Our Only Real Problem In Life Is Our "Separation From" God - which can only be cured by using our wisdom to again become "one with" God within us, before we die
Our only real problem in life is our separation from God. Everything else is but a reflection of this problem, and we will never really change anything about us until we solve this root problem, through establishing a direct connection with the life and teaching of Bawa Muhaiyaddeen within us (may God be pleased with Him), which is the Katpaha Virudcham, the Father of our Soul, the Umm al-Qur'an, the mother of our wisdom, our Soul, and the Wisdom surrounding our soul, which is the Guardian of our Soul, all of which God has personally placed within each of us.
MuhaiyaddeenLB:
There is no other problem that we face in our life, either making our Shaikh, and the life of "oneness with" God that is the life of our Shaikh within us, as "God" within us, as the oneness of God and True man within us, as us as "one with" God within us, and the word of our Shaikh, the teaching of our Shaikh, as the word and teaching of God for the Children of God for this age, or.
Or continuing in our ignorance to make us as "separate from" God, to make us as the life of separation and differences that we are currently experiencing as existing "outside" of us, as us, as us on the outside of us, as us "separate from" God, as us "separate from" each other, and as us "separate from" the Creation of God within us, and the words and teaching coming from the world "outside" of us, as the religious scriptures of the four main religions of the world, as the word and teaching of God for the Children of God for this age.
The choice is ours.
MuhaiyaddeenLB:
And having successfully made this transition, from the false life and false teaching of God "outside" of us, to the true life and true teaching of God "inside" of us, we must begin treating the life and teaching of our Shaikh in this way, as the life and teaching of God "inside" of us.
And in this way, accepting all that Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him) says and does within us as what God is saying and doing within all of us in this age, within all of the Children of God for this age, for in truth all of the Children of God for this age are within us, not outside of us, all of the Children of God for this age are us, are "one with" us, not "separate from" us.
For His Holiness teaches us in the Kalimah Song (4/26/72), and in the Allah Muhammad Song (2/13/74), that the Children of God for this age are the1000 generosities of God for this age, are the 28 letters in the human body, multiplicity of which make the human form, and in maturity within us are what bring completeness to the four religions of God within us, as the "Resonance of Allah" within us, with,
a. 300 generosities going to the religion of Hinduism b. 300 generosities going to the religion of Zoroastrianism c. 300 generosities going to the religion of Christianity d. 99 generosities going to the religion of Islam
With 1 remaining with God.
4. Sitting on God's Lap, While Bawa Teaches Us "What We Do Not Know" - this is what everything we do in our life is really about
As the Children of God for this age, the Children of Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Us) we must come together as one in the name of our Father, Shaikh Muhammad Rahim Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him) to learn and understand "what we do not know".
Rumismith:
Yes, how peaceful it must be to have the awareness of all being one life. I am currently struggling to get what I need on a worldly basis. I have denied so many things for so long with the excuse I should have good qualities and put other peoples needs first. But now all the resentment and anger about it is attacking me.
Thank you so very much for your information on internet access. I just tried to download Juno from the e-mail you sent me. It took 40 minutes but when I was trying to open it up it said it was incomplete.
MuhaiyaddeenLB:
When my ride comes for me, we will load the Juno disk that this child already has onto your computer and that should take care of it. Did you download AIM IM yet?
Rumismith:
No not yet. Yes I have been working on a ride for you, God willing.
5. Understanding The Left And The Right Within Us - both are necessary to move forward in our life
We need to understand both the left and the right within us and see how both are necessary to move forward in our life, and learn how to use them both properly. We can only get rid of the left and move to the right by turning to the right, not by turning to the left to remove the left and then go to the right, not by using "us" to get rid of the bad us and then go to God, but by directly using God to get to God, by turning to God within us, to our wisdom, to Bawa within us, to get to God, not by using us as "separate from" God, which is the current us, to get to God, but by using us as "one with" God, which is our wisdom, to get to God, which is the life and teaching of Bawa Muhaiyaddeen within us, (may God be pleased with Him), to harvest True Man from the Creation of God or dunya within us, and to harvest God from the Creation of True Man or akhirah within us.
MuhaiyaddeenLB:
We need to take apart what you just shared because it has some real sticking points in it, that can cause a lot of difficulties.
Rumismith:
I feel ashamed about the complaint that I just made about not having enough. God is giving so bountifully in my life, whatever I need.
It is a frustration for me not being able to speak up for my needs. Of course you would say hand it over to Bawa. I feel I did that over the years but still all this resentment is building up.
MuhaiyaddeenLB:
That is much better. Both are Ok. Both the complaint and the realization that it is not necessary.
MuhaiyaddeenLB:
The great joy is to let both exist within you at the same time. This is the whole life of this child in partnership with Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him).
MuhaiyaddeenLB:
Bawa teaches us to ask for forgiveness without feeling ashamed. That is the key to it.
For His Holiness teaches us,
"The more you make yourself humble and ask for forgiveness the more your true exaltedness will be seen. Humility is a sign of exaltedness."
"The preface of a spotlessly pure heart is patience, contentment and gratitude, trust in God, and the praising God for whatever happens to us, saying, 'Al-hamdu lillah'."
"Therefore, without feeling shame, ask for forgiveness whenever necessary. That would be good. Allah, the lone One who rules and sustains us, will protect us."
MuhaiyaddeenLB:
It is like going to the doctor with a social disease with peace in your heart, not accepting the worldly praise or blame for the condition you may find yourself in, instead giving God the responsibility for its coming and going.
MuhaiyaddeenLB:
Remembering at all times, that it is all part of what God is doing to you at a higher level, at a deeper more subtle level within you, for His purpose for your life, not for your purpose for your life.
MuhaiyaddeenLB:
So put down your purpose and get into His purpose. Then the mind and desire within you will weaken because you have stopped feeding them with the things they like the most, which is "Poor me, or wonderful me." It doesn't matter to them. They love both. So get rid of both, and then you will be free of the world, of your mind and desire.
For His Holiness teaches us,
"If we do not have the things of the world, the world will not have you."
6. Establishing the "Bawa - Bawa Muhaiyaddeen" Dialogues Within Us - only then can our wisdom reason over our fate
This dialogue between our mind and our wisdom must occur within us if we are ever to move from the state of "separation from" God to the state of "oneness with" God. There is no other way to do it, because God set it up that way within each of us, and gave us all that is necessary to make this transition. We have but to understand it, and then properly use it, to become successful in our life, to allow our wisdom to reason over our fate.
MuhaiyaddeenLB:
You should start to write a journal. And in the journal first write down the complaints that are coming to you, and then write down Bawa's rebuttal, which are all of the things Bawa has taught us, all of the things of God within the life and teaching of our Father, Shaikh Muhammad Rahim Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him).
MuhaiyaddeenLB:
In this way you will develop the "Bawa - Bawa Muhaiyaddeen" dialogue within yourself, and give Bawa room to show you His presence within you. What do you think?
MuhaiyaddeenLB:
You have both, your mind and desire and your wisdom which is Bawa, but you need to find a way to experience both within yourself, just as we experience both in our chats. What do your think?
Rumismith:
This is so exciting. I had the though for a while to write a journal, and I started to write down my irritations and it helped so much, because they suddenly weren't mine anymore.
Thank you for all this good advise. I like the idea of a social disease and not caring when going to the doctor.
7. Learning To Answer Our Mind With Our Wisdom - this is Bawa's rebuttal to all that our mind has experienced, learned, and understood in its state of "separation from" God within us
The life and teaching of God for this age, for this age of Bawa Muhaiyaddeen, which is the life and teaching of Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him), is God answer to the life of darkness, the life of separation and differences, that has come to maturity within each of us in this age, in this age known as the kali yuga, as the age of destruction, where either through our ignorance we think that "we are God" as "separate from" God and we are destroyed by God, becoming in this way one with all that separates us from God, or through our wisdom we realize that "we are God" as "one with" God, and we call on God to destroy what separates us from God, which in truth is us as "separate from" God, becoming in this way one with all that is "one with" God, allowing God to finish what He has started within us, which is to reveal True Man within the Creation of God, or the dunya, and to reveal God within the Creation of True Man, or akhirah.
What to you mean by Bawa's rebuttal?
MuhaiyaddeenLB:
Bawa's rebuttal is your wisdom answering your mind. Bawa said once that we need to learn the correct answer to every question of the mind.
For example, our mind and desire may say to us,
"Why did that person say that to me. It was not very nice. Don't they know that I am trying very hard not to say the things I should not say, but sometimes they just come out of my mouth without me thinking."
And if we hand what the mind says to us to our wisdom, to the life and teaching of Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him) within us, then our wisdom may say to our mind, in rebuttal,
"All that we see is a dream. All that we do is but a though within that dream. All that we appear as is hidden. Life is a feast of the world and its medicine is a time after a time."
This is Bawa's rebuttal. It is each and every aspect of the life and teaching of Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him) within us.
MuhaiyaddeenLB:
We have both, we have both our mind and desire, and our wisdom, but we have forgotten about our wisdom, we have forgotten about our direct connection with God within each of us, that God personally placed within each of us before we came here, which we all experienced in the womb, and for the first few years in the world, but which gradually was covered over by our direct connection to the dream of us, to the life of us as "separate from" God, to the life of us as "separate from" each other, and as "separate from" all of the Creation of God within us.
And Bawa has come into our life on the "outside" of us to teach us about what we already have on the "inside" of us, but have forgotten about.
"Man, appearing on this earth, forgets God, and falls into many a trap. He does not know to seek himself, although God exists within man. This "Guru Mani" is to explain this concept in detail."
We must realize, without the slightest doubt, that on the "inside" of us we have both the world of our mind and desire, and the world of our wisdom. And in our ignorance, in our current state of "separation from" God, we only see an illusory and distorted view of the world of our mind and desire, that is truly "inside" of us, but that we see as existing on the "outside" of us, seeing ourselves as living a life of separation and differences in this "outside" world of illusion.
And if we die in this state of "separation from" God then that is what we get, and the world of our mind and desire that is truly "inside" of us, which is the 7 hells within us, becomes both the suffering in our grave and our eternal home.
But if we join with the gift of God for this age, which is the life and teaching of our Father, Shaikh Muhammad Rahim Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him), then this is what we get, both now and after we die, then this is what destroys the world of mind and desire within us, which is the life of separation and differences that we now see as existing "outside" of us, then this is what closes down the world of hell within us, the world of jinns within us, and the world of the fairies within us, re-opens the world of souls within us, which was our home before coming here, which are the 7 heavens within us, and then this is what opens the kingdom of God within us, which is the 8th heaven or firdaus within us.
And then as "one with" the Triple Flame of God within us - Ya Allah, Ya Rasul, Ya Muhaiyaddeen - we will see and come to understand all that is "inside" of us, we will come to see, know, and understand the world of mind and desire within us, which are the 7 hells within us, the world of the souls, which are the 7 heavens within us, and the kingdom of God within us, which is the 8th heaven or firdaus within us, allowing Bawa within us and God within Bawa within us to finish what they have started within us, which is revealing True Man within the Creation of God or the dunya within us, and revealing God within the Creation of True Man or akhirah within us.
Amen, Amen, Ya Rabil Alameen. Amen, Amen, Ya Rahman Alameen. Amen, Amen, Ya Rahim Alameen. Al-hamdu lillah. Allahu Akbar.
MuhaiyaddeenLB:
This is where the journal will help. In it you can make a conscious decision between the two, between your mind and desire and your wisdom, between yourself as "separate from" Bawa within you, and yourself as "one with" Bawa within you, between your presence as "separate from" God, and your presence as "one with" God, which is the presence of Bawa within you.
You can make room for both, and like Abraham (may the blessings of God be upon Him) in His pit of fire, you can learn to sit in your pit of fire in peace, making, like Abraham did, "your knowing that God knows enough".
And in this way, you can learn to see, know, and understand the victory of your life, which is your wisdom reasoning over your fate, which is your wisdom reasoning over your mind and desire.
In this way, the wisdom surrounding your soul on the "inside" of you, which is the life of Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him) on the "inside" of you, awakens to the life and teaching of Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him) on the "outside" of you.
And the Umm al-Qur'an within you, which is the mother of your wisdom, which is the teaching of Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him) on the "inside" of you, brings the life of wisdom within you to maturity, allowing it to successfully do battle with the enemy of your soul, which is you as "separate from" God, which is you living a life of separation and differences in the illusory world that you see as existing on the "outside" of you.
This is the life of this child,
"Sitting on the lap of God, as Bawa teaches us 'what we do not know'".
And this must become your life, and the life of all of our brothers and sisters. Everything else will only take us to hell, to the suffering of our grave, and to an eternal life of hell, an eternal life "separated from" God.
For as His Holiness teaches us,
"Hell is simply the realization that we have separated ourselves from God, that we have separated ourselves from our true selves, from us as 'one with' God."
Rumismith:
Al hamdu lillah for these words. Yes, this will be a good learning with the journal.
You know, I used to be able to be so peaceful and easily connect with that wisdom within, but lately turmoil is absorbing me. But I do think that God and Bawa are doing it to root out shortcomings or whatever. It just is unsettling.
8. Establishing The Right Target of Life Within Us - which is God within us, the nature of God within us, and how to reach God within us through the nature of God within us
To hit a target we must first have a target, learn about the nature of the target we want to hit (is it stationary or is it moving), and then learn how to properly aim at the target (aim in front of or behind the target). Only then will we have any chance of hitting the target. Similarly, to reach God we must first have God, learn about the nature of God (is He "separate from" us or "one with" us), and how to properly reach God (get in front of Him as a King or get behind Him as a slave). Only then will we have any chance of reaching God. For this age, this learning about the True Nature of God and how to reach Him, is the life and teaching of Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him).
MuhaiyaddeenLB:
What will help is the journal, this internal dialogue between our mind and desire and our wisdom, and a target. And the target should make the world a tiny thing.
This is how Bawa teaches us to do it in the "Invocation to the Guru", in the book,
MuhaiyaddeenLB:
In the "Invocation to the Guru", on page 11, Bawa says, in response to a disciple asking the Guru, "How to dispel the darkness of the world",
"For the silent One to appear as Grace, to find the world as a tiny thing, to destroy sorrow which is maiden, with help for the Master Guru's graceful way, seek and learn standing on the path, and ask with a melting heart."
MuhaiyaddeenLB:
So the correct target will make the world a tiny place, and we do this through the grace of the Guru, by asking for the correct things.
MuhaiyaddeenLB:
One of greatest joys in the life of this child is asking for the correct things, and this is explained so beautifully in the book, "The Pearl of Wisdom", especially in the first three parts of this book.
First in the "Forward", starting on page 6.
Why don't you add these three things, the "Forward", the "Invocation To Allah", and the "Invocation To The Guru", to the list of things that you read every day from the life and teaching of Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him).
Add these three to Golden Words 222 on the "Nature of Karma", and Golden Words 225, on the "Treasure of Peace", on page 72 and 73 of the book, "Golden Words of a Sufi Shaikh" by His Holiness, that we shared in a previous Chat.
This is what this child does every day in partnership with Bawa.
MuhaiyaddeenLB:
Another suggestion is that you take each of these, read them, write them out in your journal, and then ask questions about what your have read, and then try to feel the answers, and write down what you feel, no matter what it is.
This is what this child has been doing in partnership with Bawa each day. And this child will continue to do the same. Then we can share our journal entries, and benefit from both minds becoming clear and pure.
"If each mind is clear and pure, words of wisdom will spring forth. Will these not be Pearls of Wisdom."
Rumismith:
Yes, I will do that.
Did you know that the translator of the book, "The Pearl of Wisdom or Guru Mani", Mohamedali Sultan Abdul Cader passed away last week in Sri Lanka?
MuhaiyaddeenLB:
No we did not know that. Al-hamdu lillah. Allahu Akbar. God knows best for each and every one of us.
Bawa teaches us that,
"God always takes us at the best possible time for us to be taken".
Isn't that wonderful?
Rumismith:
Yes, I will take your advise. I know it will be good. Some big change is going on in my life. It feels like all the carpets are being pulled out from under my feet. A journal will ground me and keep me on the point.
MuhaiyaddeenLB:
Good - it has really helped this child a lot. One day Bawa told us that the true age of all of us is 200 million years old, which is how long it has been since Adam (may the blessing of God be upon Him) appeared in the world.
Isn't that amazing?
